Biographies


 

William B. Orkin is the Founder of Orkin & Associates, LLC.

Born and raised in the Druid Hills area, a suburb of Atlanta, William enjoyed in his youth transportation provided by the trolley.

Along with other family members, William’s father, Otto, founded and established Orkin Pest Control, one of the largest and most successful pesticide companies in the world. In 1964, he founded Orkin & Associates, LLC and years later in 2001, sold the company to his children. In addition, he established the William B. Orkin Foundation, a charitable organization founded with the mission of improving the lives of children as well as animals.

William is currently retired and resides in North Georgia. 

 

 

Adam D. Orkin is the Chief Executive Officer of Orkin & Associates, LLC, a third-generation family investment business which specializes in real estate investments. In addition, Adam is the founder of Devin Properties, LLC, a real estate development and investment company. In addition to overseeing daily operations of both companies, Adam continually seeks new investment and development opportunities. An Atlanta native, he is passionate about designing structures to fit within the natural landscape, creating a pedestrian-friendly environment. The finished properties reflect the influence of Fredrick Law Olmstead and Clarence Stein.

Growing up in a timeless neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia, Adam strives to invest or develop the same pedestrian-driven mix of uses, as well as preserving the land on which development occurs.

Adam attended The Lovett School for his early childhood and high school education. He received an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Presbyterian College, Clinton, South Carolina, in 1986. Adam began his real estate career in 1986, and has worked in brokerage, development and investment capacities.

Adam founded Devin Properties, LLC in 2000, recognizing the need for harmony between community, business, and nature. Since that time, he has been involved in projects which include restaurants, retail, neighborhoods, and mixed-use developments.

Understanding that planning a community and being a part of a community are complementary, Adam is involved with many local organizations, including the Perimeter Community Improvement District, the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, the Congress for New Urbanism, the Urban Land Institute, Theater of the Stars, Canine Assistants, Mill Springs Academy, and is the former Chairman of the Building and Grounds Committee at the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

Adam, an avid gardener, lives in Milton, Georgia with his wife, Amy, and their three sons.

 

 

 

Marc Glickman is the Vice President of Finance of Orkin & Associates, LLC. Marc serves as a member of the senior management team of Orkin & Associates, LLC, and as the financial leader within the company, Marc’s responsibilities span the advanced finance, lending, accounting, and real estate investment and analysis functions.
 
Born and raised in New York, Marc moved to Atlanta to attend college. He received a BBA from Emory University and is a licensed CPA in the State of Georgia. Prior to joining the Orkin & Associates, LLC, he worked as a Financial Auditor with Deloitte & Touche, LLP. With a desire to become more involved in managing the financial aspects of a company, Marc returned to Emory University where he received an MBA in Finance. Marc then went on to work at Delta Air Lines, Inc. as a Finance Manager. Seeking a more challenging opportunity in a different industry, Marc joined the Orkin & Associates team in November of 2006.
 
A 2008 graduate of the North Fulton Chamber’s Leadership North Fulton program, Marc was recently selected to serve on the Board of the Perimeter Transportation Coalition. In addition, he was chosen to serve as the Chairman of the 2010 North Fulton March for Babies Walk sponsored by the March of Dimes. 
 
Marc is an avid golfer and lives in Roswell, Georgia with his wife, Kristi, their daughter, Madison and their son, Caleb.

 

 

Josh Studrawa is a Staff Accountant who oversees daily financial operations at Orkin & Associates, LLC as well as the IT needs of the company.

Josh obtained his BBA from Western Michigan University. His background is in property management accounting and real estate development, and his prior work experience includes Southeast Capital Partners and The Integral Group. Born in San Diego, California, Studrawa has lived in Atlanta for 10 years and is happily married with a son.

 

 

Bryan Jones is a Staff Accountant at Orkin & Associates, LLC. and oversees daily financial operations, property insurance, and the management of Peregrine, a residential development in Cashiers, North Carolina.

Bryan has lived in the Atlanta area for the past 18 years. Since he obtained his BBA from the University of Georgia in 2001, he has continued to develop his financial skills and knowledge of the construction industry through his work with a variety of homebuilders and developers.

Prior to joining Orkin & Associates, LLC, Bryan was employed by Centex Homes where he handled the budgetary and job costing functions within the Land Development Department of the Atlanta division.

Bryan currently resides in Alpharetta, Georgia, with his wife, Jessica, and their son, Parker.

 

 

Josh Barnes is the Manager of Real Estate Operations at Orkin & Associates, LLC and is responsible for supporting all asset management activities including leasing, property management and project support.

Josh was born and raised in Lilburn, Georgia, as the middle of three children. From Lilburn, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Real Estate. He is a licensed real estate agent and is currently pursuing a CCIM designation.

Josh began his real estate career as an intern for North American Properties in the Atlanta office. From there, he was hired by TriMont Real Estate Advisors as a Financial Analyst. In September of 2007, Josh joined Orkin & Associates, LLC to stream line the operations department. Josh currently resides in Roswell, Georgia.

 

  

Renee Lipham has served as William Orkin’s personal assistant for 22 years.

Renee was raised in Roswell, Georgia, attended Milton High School and Georgia Southern University.

She worked in the commodities division of Chase Manhattan Bank, then the law firm of Ford & Harrison, where she befriended Mr. Orkin. In 1986, she came to work for William as his personal assistant.

Renee is married to Mr. Dennis Lipham. They live in Alpharetta, Georgia and have two teenage sons. Her sons attend Blessed Trinity Catholic High School in Roswell, where Renee serves as the President of the Athletic Association.

 

  

Heather L. Walker is the Executive Assistant to the CEO of Orkin & Associates, LLC and assists other senior members of the management team with daily activities and projects such as developments, acquisitions, business development, government and community affairs as well as communication between the respective parties.

Growing up in rural South Alabama, Heather learned by example the value of hard work and the pride that accompanies it. After finishing high school, she attended the University of West Alabama, receiving her B.S. degree in English with a minor in journalism, and recently received her Master of Arts in Teaching English from The University of West Alabama in December.

Heather developed an interest in the real estate business during her employment with a prominent law firm in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. With a desire to be more involved in all aspects of the real estate business and to be closer to her fiancé, she relocated to the Atlanta area in August of 2007 to begin employment with Orkin & Associates, LLC.

Heather spends her free time developing her creative writing and photography skills. She resides in Woodstock, Georgia, with her husband, Ben, a teacher at Hopewell Middle School in Alpharetta, and their son, Cooper.

 

 

Amy Marsh is the Operations Assistant and Administrative Assistant for Orkin & Associates, LLC. Among managing the flow of the daily operations of the office, Amy also manages the company’s residential portfolio in the panhandle of Florida and provides support to each branch of the company.

After completion of high school in South Georgia, Amy attended the University of Georgia where she earned a B.A. in Economics. Amy joined Orkin & Associates, LLC in May of 2007.

Amy currently resides in Johns Creek, Georgia with her husband, Nathan.
